posted (December 30, 2015)
A freak accident in the Spanish Lookout community that occurred some two weeks ago has led to the death of one man. Around 5 pm on Saturday December 19th , 29 year old Eddy Alberto Sanchez, of Buena Vista Village, was riding his motor cycle in the compound of Belize Concrete located on the outskirts of Spanish lookout off the Iguana Creek Road. That's when he got clotheslined on a cable strung across the entrance as a barrier to the compound. As a result Sanchez sustained head and body injuries – this photo was taken as he lay unconscious on the scene. He was taken to the Western Regional Hospital in a critical condition and was later transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he underwent treatment for 8 days. But on Monday December 28th, 29 year old Sanchez succumbed to his injuries. His family is not satisfied that it was an accident and suspect that foul play may have been involved.
