It's cruise ship season, and we're used to hearing of arrivals from carnival Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian. But now, you can add MSC Cruises to that familiar lineup. The Swiss based MSC is a division of the Mediterranean Shipping Company and the three thousand five hundred passenger "Davina" made its first call in Belizean waters this morning at 8:00.
The ship stopped in Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico, before arriving in Belize.
Director of Destination Planning and Cruise, Valdemar Andrade, is quoted in a press release saying the MSC calls are a part of initial calls to explore what the destination has to offer. He adds that in 2016, there will also be an additional line making calls in Belize as well.
