New Year's Eve may be the big party night - but for sports fans and race watchers the real hype of new year's is on the day itself, January First - the date for the KREM New Year's Day Cycling Classic - which is the first big race on the annual cycling calendar. In it's 26th running, this 2016 edition was different: no foreign riders were allowed on local teams, which left the field wide open for Belizean cyclists.
