31 year old Caledonia villager Luis Alcoser is still missing - and tonight all police are saying is that they believe he is still alive - but they can't tell us where he is, or who has him. As we showed you last night, Alcoser's bullet riddled Kia Sportage was found on the road to his village yesterday morning. There were no bloodstains inside the vehicle but there were at least 4 bullet holes in the vehicle.
He has not communicated with his family, and today we learnt that they have moved out of their home in Caledonia village fearing for their own safety.
The backdrop to all this is that four days ago, police made a bust of 183 pounds of marijuana in Orange Walk with a street value of more than a quarter million dollars.
Recent history tells us that whenever large shipments of illicit drugs go missing people start turning up missing. At this point police will not say if Luis Alcoser is such a case, but, they are treating it as a very sensitive case, because they believe Alcoser is still alive.
