Alleged Pou Robber To Court
posted (January 7, 2016)
Last night, we showed you our interview with Maria Pou, one of the family owners of the very popular, Pou meat pie, who recounted that moment when she was robbed on New Road 2 days ago. Well, the man who police believed attacked her is 23 year-old Michael Arnold, and though he was fresh out of prison, he's back there tonight.

He was arraigned today before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer where he was read charges of robbery and wounding. He pleaded not guilty, but he was denied bail and remanded to prison until March 9.

As we reported, 56 year-old businesswoman Maria Pou had just received a cash payment of $500 from a tenant right near her home on New Road. She was heading back when someone held her from behind and grabbed her hand with the money in it. They struggled briefly, and the assailant threw her on the ground, to get the money away from her. She burst her head, and he left her there while he fled the scene.
