The GSU picked up a gun today in gang turf. At about 4:30, the chrome 38 Colt revolver was found in a search of an abandoned empty lot on Banak Street. According to the GSU, quote, "The firearm is believed to be the property of members of the Banak Street Crips Gang headed by Ellis and Tyrone MEIGHAN." End quote.
And also yesterday, the GSU found 12 ounces of weed in the turf of the George Street Gang. They searched an abandoned empty lot on West Canal where they found a black plastic bag with 349 grams of what is described as "Hydro Type Cannabis". The drugs were labeled as "Found Property" but the GSU says it is believed to be the property of members of the George Street Gang.
