Making At Risk Youths Employable

One of BELTRAIDE's most recent ventures, "Working it out," is a pilot project to assist imprisoned youths to become more employable when they are finished serving time. BELTRAIDE has partnered with the Wagner's Youth Facility and has taken 42 youths into the program. But training these youths is one thing, sensitizing possible employers to accept the youths even with the stigma of being a former inmate is quite another. General Manager Lejia Gideon spoke to us about the program and the perceived challenges ahead.
