Diplomat Will Try To Get Back Stolen Truck
posted (March 2, 2016)

3 weeks ago, we told you about the very brazen Benque Viejo carjacking in which Assistant Superintendent Selwyn Tillett, the Commanding Officer for Orange Walk Police, was car jacked.

2 Hispanic men pointed a gun at him, and took the keys for his son-in-law's white 2014 Mazda Pick up truck. A few hours later, it was found in Guatemala, in an area known as Camalote, which is about 10 miles from Melchor.

Well, the truck is still in Melchor and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been activated to retrieve it for the Tillett family. Diplomat Said Guerra is on the job and he went to meet the judge in Melchor. Guerra has learned that the truck is impounded in Santa Elena Peten.

He is expecting to retrieve the vehicle in few days, and then bring it back to Belize, where it will be returned to the rightful owners.
