Earlier in the news you heard all about the PUP's plans for the National Assembly. Those arrangements will come into play next week when the house meets
for the biggest day on the parliamentary calendar – the presentation of the revenue and appropriations bill – what we all call "the Budget." John Briceno
will lead the opposition charge against that budget – and today he told me he expects a paltry post election package which will spell suffering for regular
folks and stagnation for the business sector:…

"We went a binge before the elections and they are suffering a massive hangover and unfortunately that hangover, all of us are feeling that hangover.
The government I believe they do not have, they ran out of funds, they've spent all the monies of the PetroCaribe. The oil is such as a low price that
whatever we get from BNE its very little and the economy is almost stalling. We have problems in citrus, we have problems in banana, we have problem in
shrimp, we have problems in sugar. We know what is going to happen with in papayas, shutting down and now even having problems with the Commercial Free
Zone in the north where Atlantic Bank has announced that they will not business with any companies that are selling cigarettes. So that's going to put
a serious problem for these business people."
The Budget will be presented on Tuesday March 8th.
