PUP Flip-Flop-Flip On The ICJ
posted (March 3, 2016)
Last year the Francis Fonseca Leadership of the PUP "did a 180" ICJ and told its supporters to say no to the ICJ.

That was a little before the campaign season for the General Elections, and the position at the time was that the PUP was saying no to the ICJ if the Barrow Administration was the one managing the process.

Well, now that John Briceno is now the leader of the Party once again, the PUP had done yet another 180% turn. It looks like a flip-flop, but yesterday, Briceno told the media that the party has returned to its position of going to the ICJ, a position which it held while it kind of originated while in Government:

Hon. John Briceno, Leader of the Opposition
"We will certainly be revisiting that position. That is why we have asked some of the most talented people, some of the most experienced people when it comes to the Belize/Guatemala issue differendum, to advise us as a party and that is why we have appointed the 5 former foreign ministers that work under a PUP government - to form a team to be able to work with us and to advise us a way forward. So we are certainly going to be looking at that and so see what is the position that we are going to take as a party. But again, I want to reiterate that when it comes to the Belize/Guatemala issue, that should not be political, that we need to work together, we as the opposition with the government to be able to find a peaceful resolution."
