The science students at University of Belize got a visit from a prominent Belizean American Physicist, Dr. Arlie Petters.
He's a professor at the prestigious Duke University in North Carolina, and today, he was greeted by UB President Alan Slusher. He then attended a discussion with the University's academics on how to increase UB's contributions to the national decision-making processes. They sought his advice and experience on the significance of targeted research in the fields of Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics known as STEM.
After that, he had an opportunity to meet with a portion of the student body to emphasize the importance of pursuing studies and careers in STEM.
