A traffic accident on the George Price Highway has resulted in the death of Orlando Madrid, a 32 year old Belizean Driver of Cristo Rey Village. At around 1:00 on Monday morning, Madrid was driving alone westbound to Benque Viejo in a Ford Escort. But upon reaching an area in front of the Windy Hill Resort, he ran off the road and overturned. When police arrived at the accident scene, Madrid's body was found trapped inside the wreckage of the overturned vehicle. Madrid leaves behind a wife and a 5 year old son. At this time San Ignacio police are appealing to residents to exercise extreme caution when driving on the George Price Highway especially around curves.
