24 year old Virginio Sub, a resident of San Jose Village, Toledo, died early on Sunday morning as a result of injuries he received in a traffic accident on Saturday night. The crash happened near San Antonio WaterFalls on the Jalacte Road. Valentina Sho Emmanuel, a 39 year old resident of Belmopan, was driving her green ford escape in the direction of Punta Gorda Town, coming from Pueblo Viejo Village, when she collided with a man riding a motorcycle near the entrance of the San Antonio Village. No one was in the area when police responded to the scene. However they later met with the driver of the Ford Escape by the "Dump" junction. She told police that she left the scene after Virginio Sub was transported to the hospital and she did so with the sole intent of finding the nearest cell service and to call police. Virginio Sub was taken to the hospital in an unconscious state suffering from large cut wounds to the head, a broken right leg, and bruises on different parts of his body. He was pronounced dead at 12:55 am on Sunday. As for Valentina Sho Emmanuel, who was with her husband and two children at the time of the incident, she has been served with a notice of intended prosecution. Police investigations continue.
