Ladyville police also had an update on that clear case of murder – the one that happenedon Friday night involving Rene "Fat Cat" Chavarria. No one has been
charged for the murder but police are investigating a man for the shooting of the 13 year old boy. The boy was just standing outside of his house when the
two men opened fire on Chavarria. He was hit to the leg. The incident happened on Friday night when Chavarria was riding along Marage Road. 2 gunmen came
up behind him and shot at him - hitting the minor as well. Chavarria tried to escape but the men followed him and finished him off with shots to the back
of his head and back. Today police gave us an update on this case.

"As it pertains to Chavarria's murder we had one suspect in custody, he was identified by the minor and he will be charged for aggravated assault and
using deadly means of harm. As it pertains to the murder of Chavarria, we don't have any evidence as yet to tie anyone to that particular murder but
the investigation continues and we're working on that as we speak."
The man being investigated for shooting the boy was released but he should be brought in tomorrow for an ID parade.
