Urban Criminals Going Rural?
posted (March 24, 2016)
And while Rural Police are still trying to piece together the many strands of this criminal operation, they are also taking note that city thieves are now looking to the Belize River Valley as a new staging ground for their criminal exploits. Assistant Commissioner Broaster connected the dots:

ACP Edward Broaster, O.C, Eastern Rural Division
"We had the robbery at Altun Ha, Sarkis Abou Nahra, Scotland Halfmoon. We are asking people to be more vigilant and if they see something, they say something and they might just have something. We are also looking to see if they have anything to do with the Altun Ha robbery. It is quite apparent that because of the defense dome that we have established within Ladyville proper, they are going out in the rural communities that do not see this type of crime and preying on these individuals."
