Cops Have No Clues In Waterlane Stabbing

The long weekend saw two stabbings in the City - none of them fatal. The first occurred in the wee hours of Easter Sunday. Around 2:50 am a man was found lying unconscious and bleeding in the Water Lane Area in Belize City. Ezikiel McKoy was taken to the KHMH where he was treated for multiple stab wounds: two to the back, one to the stomach and one to the throat. Now McKoy remains at the hospital in an unconscious state - and without his input, police don't know who to question:

"With reference to the stabbing incident, it happened on Sunday morning, sometime around 2 in the morning where police from Precinct 1, responded to a male person on Waterlane. Upon arrival they observed a male person lying on the ground with several stab wounds to the body. He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he's presently at the ICU unit. He was later identified as Ezekiel McCoy, that's all the information that we have in regards to him. At this time, we are trying to locate any family members since up to now, we have no other information in regards to him. At this time we cannot give you a motive. We have checked about this person and we have no information as to being a person that is causing trouble or having problems with any other person."

"No, it was very difficult, it was 2 o clock in the morning. We have checked several business around there. We have interviewed a few people but up to now, no one can provide us with any information as to how that man sustained those injuries there."

Police have neither suspect nor motive for the brutal stabbing. Meanwhile Mckoy remains at the hospital unconscious and in a very critical condition.
