South side police are well known for their community initiatives. They have the meet and greet sessions every Wednesday and are working on several youth projects. Well, the Eastern Rural Division has a reverse approach to community outreach and that's by rewarding officers for being professional and courteous to citizens. Today Broaster told us more about the project.

The training for the officers is still on going. In order for officers to get their $500 reward at the end of the year, they must get the fewest complaints from the public - which will be evaluated by reviewing the citizens comments on a form provided to them, and they must be helpful and courteous.
