posted (April 18, 2016)
43 year-old David Richard Taylor, the British Belizean who was charged in December 2012 of extreme acts of pornographic exploitation of boys on the Placencia Peninsula, is at the KHMH recovering tonight. On Saturday night, he was shot at his home between miles 26 and 27 on the Phillip Goldson highway, in what police believe at this time is a robbery.

Today, the Officer commanding Ladyville Police briefed the press on what they know so far:

Inspector Juanito Cocom, OC, Ladyville Police
"Ladyville CIB responded to a distress call at Mile 26 and 3/4 on Philip Goldson Highway, Biscayne Village. When they arrived, they observed in the living room of a concrete bungalow dwelling structure a clear descent male person with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his chest area. David Richard Taylor, 43 year old Belizean Laborer for the same address, he reported that he was home alone when a white SUV vehicle drove into his narrow drive way and while he was approaching the vehicle, two persons came out of the vehicle. A clear skin person and a dark skin person who was armed to what appeared to be a pistol, ordered him to the ground. He refused to go on the ground and grabbed the pistol in a struggle ensued whereby a shot went off. He received a shot to his chest and was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital by police. His condition is stated as stable. The scene was processed and the matter is under investigation. We don't have any motive at the moment as the actual incident occurred, what we believe to be a robbery. How is occurred, was that of a robbery."

As we told you, Taylor made the news in December 2012 after he was accused of pedophilia and pornographic exploitation. At that time, police raided his home and allegedly found computers with 50 videos and 500 photographs of young boys between the ages of 10 and 13 years-old. They were being made to pose nude and engage in various homosexual acts with adult males. Last we heard, that case was still pending before the court.
