Belize is also looking to the ACP - or African, Caribbean and Pacific countries - for support. That's a bloc of 79 nations which held their 103rd session in Senegal on April 26th and 27th.
At the end of it, the ACP Council of Ministers adopted a Resolution expressing support for Belize's territorial integrity and their concerns over the tensions along Belize's border with Guatemala.
The resolution also "Calls on Belize and the Republic of Guatemala to continue to…refrain from the threat or use of force and lays out a verification process to address border incidents under the auspices of the Organization of American States.
Belize was represented at Session by Ambassador Dr. Dylan Vernon.
