Hon. Tracy Not Commenting On a Prospective Challenger

And moving from the BPP to the UDP, today we asked ask Albert Representative Tracy Taegar-Panton if she is concerned about political blowback for having opposed Patrick Faber in the Convention for UDP First Deputy.

She came out strong for Saldivar, appearing in television commercials and rallying her delegates, which did not escape the attention of the Faber camp. So, today, we asked her about it, and here's what she had to say:

"Given that you've chosen to support his opponent, it is a concern of yours that come 2020, he may seek to put an opponent against you to try to solidify his own base if he should become party leader?"

"Minister Faber is our new deputy leader and he is the new Deputy Prime Minister of Belize. Certainly all of us at cabinet provide our support for him at this juncture in time. I don't know what the future will hold, but I can say this that I continue to work very diligently in my constituency. I have remain in the constituency since elections. I believe that there is a healthy amount of respect amongst colleagues at the cabinet level and we continue to work together. We have a singular goal and that is to win the next general elections and I don't think that anything will deviate us from staying focus on that goal."
