posted (June 10, 2016)
A man with Crooked Tree roots, is facing first degree murder charges in Osceala County, Florida.

57 year old Elvis Tillett, is accused of fatally shooting his son in law inside the family yard on Sunday. News sources from Florida report that Tillett and his 29 year old son-in-law Marquise Ephron, had a history of disagreements leading up to the fatal shooting. Here's the report presented by one of the local TV news stations who was at the scene:

The latest reports from Osceola County are that on Saturday Marquise Ephron, who has a child with Tillett's daughter, Samedi, called to make plans to pick up his son. Tillett then allegedly told his daughter that, quote, "If he comes to this house it will not end well." Samedi told investigators that on Sunday, to avoid any conflict, she walked a few blocks down the street to meet her husband. But she said her father followed her in his car and hurled profanities at Ephron. Ephron then followed Tillett back to his home intending to confront his father-in-law. Something happened in the midst of that face-off, and Tillett pulled out his rifle and shot his 29 year old son-in-law, killing him.

Tillett moved from Belize to Florida 40 years ago.

He now remains in police custody and according to reports he is unwilling to cooperate with investigators.
