In the past few months, images like this one of the BDF being harrassed by the Guatemalan military on the Sarstoon River have been featured quite frequently in the news.
Well, we've confirmed that for the past 2 weeks, those soldiers who must use the river to conduct weekly changeovers at the Cadenas Observation Post, have done so without the Guatemalan Navy shadowing them.
Lieutenant Colonel Luis Sutherland told us today via phone that the last 2 changeovers have occurred without the Guatemalans following them, or attempting to block them while they try to traverse the river.
