ACP Broaster Was Up On William Mason’s Game
posted (August 1, 2016)
And continuing on William Danny Mason, the more we keep digging, the more Minister John Saldivar's relationship with Mason seems as though it could have been avoided. That's because various senior cops knew about his shady background, and the information was passed along. Today, the press asked Assistant Police Commissioner Edward Broaster, if he ever had any run-ins with Mason, and he shared his encounter with us:

ACP Edward Broaster - OC, Eastern Division Rural
"I met William Mason in 2014, after I listened to a report from a complainant and he was given 2 days to abandon the individual property."

Reporter
"What was the complaint about?"

ACP Edward Broaster - OC, Eastern Division Rural
"I am not going to call the name of the complainant, but obviously he was trying to swindle the complainant out of her property."

Reporter
"Sir has the police department, through you, have you guys ever approached Mason for funding or sponsorship for any of your events?"

ACP Edward Broaster - OC, Eastern Division Rural
"None at all. I know of William Mason from 2014, I saw the post from the Canadians where he swindled them and I never had any interest or relationship with William Mason."

Reporter
"Sir as a senior officer, at that time when you found out that information, did you share that with the minister of national security or with your ComPol or anybody higher up?"

ACP Edward Broaster - OC, Eastern Division Rural
"I did not share it with the minister of national security, however I did share with the commissioner and several other senior officers not to accept or associate themselves with that individual based on the information that I had at the time. To my knowledge, all the individuals that I advised did not associate themselves with William Mason."

Reporter
"So you have not been to his Intelco Hill home?"

ACP Edward Broaster - OC, Eastern Division Rural
"No I have not."

And we close tonight with the latest update from NEMO on the tropical cyclone that's developing in the Caribbean Sea. If the system remains a tropical storm we can expect winds within the range of 50 to 60 miles per hour. Rainfall estimates are expected to be between 4-6 inches.
