Last night we told you how former director of Immigration and present CEO of NEMO and Transport Ruth Meighan was refused entry into the United States, and returned to Belize with her US Visa revoked. That happened over the weekend - and today, persistent reports tell us that seven more senior government officials will have their visa cancelled. Now that is huge news! But, who are they? And are they CEO's or Minister's? Well, we couldn't find out - but it is a story we'll keep following. Reports say that the Minister of Foreign Affairs Wilfred Elringotn did meet with the Americans yesterday to query the incident, but was told that it is a matter being handled bot by the Embassy but by the State Department through US Immigration.
As we noted, Ruth Meighan's signature continued to appear in machine readable Belize passports long after she left office in 2013.
