NCFC’s Plan Of Action
posted (August 2, 2016)
The National Council for Families and Children is making youth voices heard. The council had organized an essay and poetry competition and winners from both categories were awarded today. But the participants had to stick to one theme and that was to reflect on how they saw Belize in 2030. This theme is also the main focus of the new National Plan of Action that was launched today. Today the NCFC coordinator Lindburgh Smith explained the link between the competition and the police and what it means for Belizean children.

In terms of the competition, in the Expressive Arts Category Andrea Guiterrez came in first, 2nd place went to Cassandra Gloria and Markisha Jorgenson came in 3rd. For the English Essay category Loreto Pelayo Jr came in first, 2nd place went to Fredezia Lambey and Andrew Trejo walked away with the 3rd prize. The hope is that the policy will be reinforced in November.
