City Council Struggling To Keep Up With Post-Earl City Cleanup
posted (August 8, 2016)
But the heaviest lifting has been left to the Belize City Council. All this weekend, their cleanup teams worked virtually around the clock in probably the most voluminous cleanup effort since Hurricane Hattie almost 60 years ago.

The City hauled endless trucks of broken trees and throwaway items from flooded homes, so much that even the landfill got full - and efforts had to be made to create more space.
