Earl Kills 39 In Mexico

And you don't need to convince Mexican's of how powerful the storm was. Earl caused mudslides which were responsible for 39 deaths in the Mexican states of Veracruz and Puebla. The mountainous area of Puebla was hardest hit with multiple landslides which killed 28 people.

Earl passed over Guatemala and southern Mexico before regaining strength over the Gulf of Mexico and making a second landfall southeast of Veracruz late Friday. Mexican authorities said the area had received a month's worth of rain in 24 hours.
