High Water Over Low Lying Bridge In Cayo
posted (August 9, 2016)
As we showed you last week, the Macal River over-ran its banks on Thursday - and since then water levels in the west have remained high. It didn't force the closure of the roaring Creek Bridge, but NEMO confirms that the wooden bridge in San Ignacio is seriously damaged and remains closed. It is classified as impassable and no one should ATTEMPT TO CROSS it. Also, the Hammock Bridge in Calla Creek was destroyed by those floodwaters.

We note that Earl also caused a bridge in Melchor to wash away.
