And while Mason will be back in court tomorrow talking to the judge, earlier this week he was talking to the Amandala. Â Tonight, we have just a little bit more from that phone conversation.

We showed you his bold but questionable claims from behind the prison walls of his supposed interactions with Top Cop Edward Broaster who categorically denies any such thing.

The Amandala’s Micah Goodin also took that opportunity last week to question him about UDP Dangriga Area Rep. Frank Pawpa Mena. As you would remember, the Prime Minister disclosed that Mena took a contribution of $10,000 from Mason for the Dangriga By-Election. Mena has said that he will return it. 

So, when Goodin asked him to confirm if the amount was indeed $10,000, Mason suggested that it was a bit more:

"I saw Pawpa Mena said that you gave him 10,000 dollars into the by-election."

"That's not a correct number."

"What's the correct number?"

"I can't tell you that right now. There is a lot I want to say. There is a lot I want to say and a lot of details I want to give. The people of Belize need to stand firm and protests." 

Of Course, you will remember that he made the bold and - as far as we know - wreckless fabrication that Deputy Commissioner Blackett has said that half the police force was on his payroll. So, we take that claim about Mena was a not a grain of salt, but a whole pack.
