Bail For Alleged Child Rapist

He's a lawman who was charged for raping a minor at gunpoint, and tonight 53 year old special constable Addison Gillett was released on bail of $8,000 dollars. Justice John Gonzalez who heard the bail application, and offered it on the condition that Gillett surrender all travel documents to the clerk of court, that does not interfere with the witnesses for the prosecution, that he attend court on each and every adjourned date and that he reports to Belmopan Police Station every Friday, commencing next Friday. The allegation is that some time in May, 2016, Gillett took a 15 year old girl to a hotel, dragged her up the stairs and raped her at gunpoint. He was charged with rape and aggravated assault. Gillett was represented by attorney Dickie Bradley. Crown Counsel Rene Montero Jr. represented the prosecution.
