There's hope for a polyclinic in Chunox Village in Corozal Southeast after ground was broken on Wednesday. While many in urban areas may take healthcare for granted, these folks have to cross a ferry and then travel another 13 miles to Corozal or 23 miles to Orange Walk to access medical care.
That's why a new $900,000 dollar, 5,500 square foot Polyclinic is more than just a building for these folks - even if they have to put in "sweat equity" themselves:…
Additionally, a reverse osmosis system, capable of meeting the Polyclinic's water demand, will be installed.
Completion of the new Chunox Polyclinic is scheduled for March 2017.
