Many kids won't be able to go back to school next month, and if they do, they will be missing books or start off late until they can recover all their school supplies after Hurricane Earl. But there are others who can't even afford to pay the tuition to be enrolled, let alone buy their class materials. Well, 25 of those deserving kids got full high school scholarships from BTL and a ceremony was held at the Radisson today to recognize the recipients. The Chair of the Executive Committee, Anwar Barrow told us more about the scholarship package and the kids described how this opportunity will help them realize their dreams.
Since the scholarship program began in 1991, BTL has awarded scholarships to over 300 kids from all over the country. They are planning on expanding the program.
