US Military Trains Bze Firefighters
posted (August 19, 2016)
Today at the Ladyville Fire Station, over 70 fire fighters from across the country were finishing up a 5-day training supervised by US Military firefighters. It's an intense real-time simulation of a raging fire that the firemen had to take on in full gear - resembling conditions very much like those infernos which have made it regularly on our newscast.

Our Daniel Ortiz was placed in the training area to experience what those firemen were putting themselves through and within 5 seconds, he ran out unable to take it. So, today, we asked the Fire Chief why they would punish themselves to train under these conditions. Here's what he told us:

The training was done with the million dollar equipment donation that the US Embassy provided to them last year.
