posted (September 8, 2016)

Indeed, there’s a whole lot of wrongdoing in the Auditor General’s reports to look very seriously into – but the police have not launched an investigation.  Today, Commissioner Allen Whylie told us that he’s waiting for the Auditor General to send him the reports:…

Reporter
"Do you believe as the Commissioner of Police that an investigation should now be opened and be full-fledged?"

Allen Whylie - Commissioner of Police
"What I believe in is material. I haven't received any copies from the Auditor General. I have been kept aware to some degree via the media pronunciation but I'm certain that whenever we get those things we will look at it, we will read it and I'm certain the DPP will also look at it and read it and we go from there."

Jules Vasquez
"But you realise that sounds like a fire is over there but you deh inn the fire department di say well I the wait to get a call because I see the house pan fire but nobody no call me."

Reporter
"Because the reports are available online on the Auditor General's website."

Allen Whylie - Commissioner of Police
"Well it may be there but I know that the Auditor General the practice is whenever the Auditor General is done with whatever audits she would normally share those things with myself as the commissioner. I haven't received those as I've said."

Jules Vasquez
"Sir but they're wide spread examples of irregularities that appear to be in the public's mind to be quite urgent; that people were running all types of reds, high people and low people. Isn't that something that in the normal course the police department would say we want to see law and order prevail and that is lawlessness and disorder? Let us look into this on our own I mean it's our job."

Allen Whylie - Commissioner of Police
"Well as I said I'm certain that when those reports reaches me I will look at it. I've already brief the head NCIB to be on standby in terms of putting together a team to investigate whenever those things reaches."

And while the COMPOL waits for his special package, for the rest of us, the reports are all available online at the Auditor General’s website, “audit.gov.bz.â€￾
