Today marked the 35th year of diplomatic relations between Belize and Mexico, and to celebrate our port was visited by the "Independencia" Mexican Navy vessel. A ceremony was held to welcome the 282 foot vessel and Foreign Minister Wilfred Elrington and Ambassador Carlos Quesnel spoke about the amicable relationship the two countries share.
And after the celebrations on the Independencia concluded, the Chamber Orchestra and Choir of the Mexican Navy performed traditional Mexican folk music at the Bliss.
