BNTU and PM Meet for 3.5 Hours, No Breakthrough

The Teachers Union and Prime Minister Dean Barrow met for about three and a half hours today – from 2:00 to 5:30. At the end of it, the PM held a press conference which just concluded, and the teachers are now meeting to consider what he proposed. Our team is just returning from the press conference – and we'll have all the major details for you in tonight's news, but what we can tell you at this hour is that the Prime Minister agreed to most of their governance demands but did not give a timeline. That's what the teachers union is pondering at this hour, and we're closely monitoring the outcome of their deliberations – so stay tuned for that.
