A taxi driver was ambushed and shot on an early morning run. Yesterday morning at around 1:14, 29 year old Emet Baptist picked up a man and a woman at the corner of Central American Boulevard and Banak Street. Baptist took them down Aloe Vera Street as they had asked but when they got there instead of giving Baptist the taxi fare, the man pulled out a gun and demanded money. Baptist handed over $35 and the gunman shot Baptist. He was hit to the finger and shoulder. Baptist quickly reversed and sped off to the hospital. Police continue to look into this shooting.
