Mexican Navy Swoops In To The Aid
posted (October 27, 2016)
28 year old Daniel Arzu Jr. is in Mexico City tonight receiving treatment. He is the Petty Officer 3rd Class in the Coast Guard who was shot to the head on Monday at his girlfriend's Penn Road apartment. As we told you, he underwent surgery at the KHMH and was in an induced coma. But the doctors told the family that there is hope for Arzu because the bullet did not do much damage to the brain. Well to make sure that Arzu gets all the treatment he needs to recover the Captain of the Mexican Navy Carlos Aceves and his team came to Belize to take Arzu for further treatment in Mexico.

As Arzu was being carried into the BERT ambulance, his family and friends were nearby snapping pictures, all hopeful that Arzu will make it. He was then driven to the airport and transferred to the Mexican Navy's air ambulance. The plane took off at 12:26 this afternoon. Arzu will be taken to El Hospital Naval General de Alta Especialidad in Mexico City. Arzu's father told us he is traveling to Mexico with his son and believes his son is improving.
