Fire At Price Barracks
posted (November 1, 2016)
This evening's press encounter with the BDF Commander also gave us an opportunity to ask him about reports of a house fire on their Price Barracks compound. That fire happened yesterday morning in the living quarters where the families of BDF soldiers reside. Today, the commander told us that one house was completely destroyed, and so the military is in the process of helping that soldier's family to put their lives back together again.

Brig. Gen David Jones - Commander - BDF
"We had a fire on the camp. One of our families sustained I believe complete damage of their belonging. So we are in the process of relocating into another house and replacing the furniture. We won't be able to replace their personal belongings. Some of the mementos, documents that were lost, but the furniture and equipment that are required inside the house, we are in the process of replacing all of them for the family that lost it."

Reporter
"Are you able to say what caused that fire?"

Brig. Gen David Jones - Commander - BDF
"The investigation from the fire department is not over, but we strongly believe it was electrical fire."
