Police: Conch Shell Fire Tragedy Was Not Arson
posted (November 2, 2016)

A two year old perished in a house fire six days ago, and tonight police are denying reports that it was arson.  Kaylee Alvarez was trapped inside the house in Conch Shell Bay, and the fire enveloped her room before anyone could get to her.  It is a tragedy made much worse by speculation that someone set the fire. Today, Commander Williams addressed that report:…

ACP Chester Williams - OC, Eastern Division South
"I will say at this time we have no evidence to suggest that it was an arson; from all indications it is a fire, we are still trying to determine how it was started and the fire department is working closely on that to be able to ascertain what is the cause of the fire and where on the building is the point where the fire had started but the video you all were told about of a person running away from the fire scene, that video has been examined, it did in fact exists but that video has been countered with other videos to reflect that the person in that video was not present on that fire scene when the fire started."

Reporter
"So sir does that mean that the victim of that beat down will be pursuing any charges against those family members of the deceased?"

ACP Chester Williams - OC, Eastern Division South
"I have instructed by officers to proceed with charges against those person who beat down Mr. Jones."
