The US Presidential race is running red-hot in the states right now, and most of us can only stand by and watch as bemused bystanders. But, Belize's name got pulled into the campaign in a most unexpected way today. That's after a newspaper called the Crusader endorsed Donald Trump. It's described as the official newspaper of the racist organization known as the Klu Klux Kan, or KKK. And what does that have to do with Belize? Well, the paper says it is online at "kkk – dot – bz," meaning they are registered using the Belize domain name. We contacted a principal of the private company who sells the domain and he told us the "KKK" is registered in many other domains all over the world. He says it is not the job of the registry to screen what is objectionable and what isn't. And while the tech types can always be morally ambiguous, the only good part of this whole deal is that the site isn't working – so the kkk.bz address leads nowhere.
