posted (November 3, 2016)
Last night you saw the intelligent canine officers in their element, scouting for drugs and guns and missing persons. Well just as these dogs are awarded for their stellar work with a rubber toy, the K-9 handlers are recognized too, And No!! Inspector Hamilton doesn't scratch them behind the ears and say "That's a Good boy!!" He honors them with a certificate and a day off. Yesterday a short impromtu ceremony was held to recognize September's officer of the month.

Insp. Brent Hamilton, Head, K-9 Unit
"In the police department we have where every month have gone beyond the means, have gone beyond the extra mile, have just been outstanding in the month. It is by the police department, every month, we try to recognize a good police officer."

"The officer for September for this year , 2016 is no other than from the K-9 Unit, the only female officer, we refer to her as our sister, as our mother , as our cook, as our everything she is the one who keeps us together."

"It feels great to be the only female, I get a lot of respect from the guys, I look up to them as my older brothers, and I enjoy being at the K-9 unit, I enjoy working with the dogs.
