Community Service For Copycat Customs Officer
posted (November 4, 2016)
Earlier this week we told you about the copycat customs officer Miguel Manzanilla who was found wearing his neighbour's Customs uniform - which he had stolen.

On Wednesday, Manzanilla appeared before newly appointed Magistrate, Norman Rodriguez where he pleaded guilty to committing a mischievous act. He was not jailed or fined; instead Magistrate Rodriguez sent Manzanilla to community service.

He was ordered to perform 60 hours of Community Service in his home town of Corozal.

Manzanilla got caught when he was stopped at a checkpoint in Ladyville where he told police he was a customs officer but his uniform was off and police arrested him.

And while he stole the uniform, he could not be charged for theft since the neighbour has not made a complaint against him.
