They were the famous panty pilferers who went to prison on remand, but today northerners, 36 year old Donaela Bernaldita Smith from Palmar and 27 year old Johny Netty Lopez, from Ranchito changed their not guilty plea to guilty and begged the court for leniency because they have children.
Smith told Senior Magistrate that they were drunk when they stole panties from Siloe's store one year ago.
The women were caught red handed on a surveillance camera stealing a whole bunch of panties from the store. In mitigation, Smith broke down as she spoke and said she is ashamed of what she did and that she knows that the act made her family ashamed of her too.
Senior Magistrate, Sharon Frazer took into consideration the fact that they saved the court time in and that they have no previous convictions for theft or crimes of dishonesties.
So instead of sending them to jail they were fined $1,000 dollars or in default 1 year imprisonment. SO, at one thousand dollars, those were some pretty pricey panties.
