Orange Walk Police received a report of another traffic accident early this morning. The body of an elderly man was found on the side of the road near Trinidad Village, and due to his injuries, police believe he was killed in a hit and run. ASP Selvin Tillet gave us more details.

"On Monday, todays date 7th November, about 6:30am, information was received of the body of a male person on the side of the road about a mile pass Trinidad Village, Orange Walk District towards August Pine Ridge. Police visited the area where they saw the motionless body of a 71 year-old male person, unemployed of Trinidad Village."
Due to the time the incident occurred, and the lack of houses in the area there are no witnesses to the fatal collision.
