William “Danny” Mason Back To Court For Adjournment
posted (November 9, 2016)

Accused murderer William “Dannyâ€￾ Mason went back to court today for a routine case management hearing.  But, of course, with Danny Mason, nothing is routine – and the Magistrate’s Court was flanked with GSU officers and trucks to escort him.  The matter was heard quickly where two important dates were set: the 18th. of January for full disclosure and the first of February for the preliminary inquiry.  It was also revealed that police could only give partial disclosure because they are waiting on the result of DNA tests.  We spoke to the defence and prosecution attorneys outside court:…

Richard "Dickie" Bradley - Attorney for Mason
"Today was to say this is an adjourned date but when we come back to court we need to know what is happening so Jules today a decision was made by the chief magistrate to say to the prosecution make disclosure available. The prosecution is awaiting some DNA testing from abroad but normally procedurally and the chief magistrate agreed you can make available to the accused person what you currently have. So prosecutor Chester Williams is going to get his hands on the documents from the DPP's office and make that available to us."

ACP Chester Williams - Prosecutor, Mason Case
"We're moving ahead with the matter, we're still awaiting certain things that we have sent abroad for testing and as soon as those evidence we have sent abroad for testing comes back then the DPP will be able to have a better appreciation of the file then we will move forward from there."

Richard "Dickie" Bradley - Attorney for Mason
"They are trying to throw everything in the court as quick as possible so they could say bwai police the do this and police di do that. So really all that is happening is; listen if you say you have some information that they committed the crime, let's get it on, let's bring it forward and get through the process because when we reach the Supreme Court we're going to be maybe 389 on that list."

Again, both sides return to court on 18th January.  Mason was sent back to prison shortly after 10:00 am.
