The Ringing Of the Salvation Army Kettle Bells
posted (November 11, 2016)
The ringing of the the Salvation Army kettle bells have become sort of the signal that the Christmas season is here. Every year, red kettles appear all over the city while volunteers ask passerbys for a small donations. The proceeds are used to make sure that less fortunate children can enjoy their Christmas too. Today was the launch of this year's annual kettle drive and Belize City Mayor, Darrell Bradley, told us how significant the drive is for raising the spirits of the city's residents..

This year, the Salvation Army joined with Scotia Bank to make the kettle drive possible. We spoke with Major Joliker Leandre, the Regional Commander of the Salvation Army and Michael Shaw, Scotia Bank Belize's Managing Director about the even and their new partnership..

The kettle bells will be out in the city throughout the Christmas season.
