That Guy, Albert Caught With Conch, Contraband And Cannabis
posted (November 17, 2016)
Yesterday the GSU searched a car belonging to Orange Walk businessman Albert Guy - and they say he was carrying contraband, conch and cannabis. They found two ounces of cannabis, six cartons of contraband cigarettes and forty-eight undersized conch. Guy, who was charged with drug trafficking and possession of undersized conch, appeared before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith yesterday, where he pled guilty possession instead of drug trafficking. He was fined $1000 and was told that he would serve 1 year in jail if he defaulted. He appeared in court again today, where be pled guilty the possession of 48 undersized conch. He was fined $500 for the offence and $20 for each conch, which brought the fine up to $1460. If he does not pay that fine by May 17, 2017 he will serve six months in prison.

Guy is no stranger to court - and has been accused many times, but not convicted.
