Police Say Corozal Murder Vitim Was Getting Threats
posted (December 12, 2016)
Last week Thursday, we told you about the mysterious early morning murder of Corozal Resident Armando Pelayo. The 36 year-old was shot and chopped multiple times. The cops found him by following a suspicious car, which drove up to his home.

Police wanted to question Pelayo's common-law wife. She was seen leaving the house in tears when the cops found Pelayo in a near-death state at his neighbour's yard.

Police say she left with her mother, who accompanied a driver to pick her up. On Thursday, the Corozal Commander, Sr. Superintendent Dennis Arnold, publicly asked them to come in and speak with the police. After hearing of it on the news, all 3 showed up to be questioned by police, and sources tell us that they were initially not cooperating with the investigators.

The cops did find Pelayo's cell phone where they saw text messages with threats made against him. He reportedly owed money, and was not paying it back in a timely manner.

The police continue their investigations, and all possible leads are being followed.
