Dean Dawson’s Baby’s Mother Makes A Plea
posted (December 22, 2016)
On Tuesday we told you about Dorian Pakeman's pending court case. 8 months ago the Press Office Director knocked down and killed Gardenia resident Dean Dawson Sr. Since then, no criminal charges have been brought against him and police say they are waiting for further order from the DPP in this very muddled case. But whatever the outcome of the criminal investigation, nothing can bring Dawson back. That is what the mother of his children Sherla Adolphus and her kids have to face for the rest of their lives. And Adolphus says she has been struggling just to get by. She came to our studios this morning in despair, calling on Pakeman or anyone to help.

Sherla Adolphus - Mother of Dawson's Children
"Christmas...it's not nice for me right now. Right now I'm going through a lot of stress because I don't have any support for any of my children. I came to Belize this morning, don't know where to turn. I came here this morning to see what I can do for my kids because I don't have any support from anyone since their father died. I used to get help from the guy who killed him for just 2 months. Certain he'll give me a little money, but now I have not received anything, or heard anything, I called him, I texted him, he did not answer me. I don't know why and he promised me he would help me until whatever with my kids. This Christmas is so terrible, the kids they are bothering me, and I am so stressed out because I do not have any support from anyone. No family. I am just living right now because of my friends. I have friends out there who support me sometimes with a little 50 dollars sometimes they give me a little 20 dollars, a little 5 dollars and that's the way I'm living. I'm trying to get a job. I get the job, start it and I have to stop because I cannot maintain my family, my little boys and to pay babysitter. So I have to stop."

"Everybody sympathies, but then when you have to live with it every day. The fact that the head of the household or father to the children isn't there, how have you been managing that?"

Sherla Adolphus - Mother of Dawson's Children
"I feel like I'm just getting out of my mind sometimes like every day now, I feel as though I'm losing memories, sometimes I can't feel anything right now. I feel very disappointed in Mr. Pakeman because promised to support me and he is not supporting me. I call him, he didn't answer me, I text him to buy my baby food he did not answer me. I told him I am in Ladyville, he did not answer me, I told him everything and with a good heart I try to text him things that would at least try to please him too and myself that we don't come to any conflict of this position that he is in and I am in but to me it looks like I have to stoop to him when I think he should give me full support and he did not. Up to this day I don't have money to feed them. I came here this morning, it's just friends giving me money, a 20 dollars and that's what they eat with this morning out of that 20 dollars. I don't know what the next meal is and it's a shame to see what happened. It's a government vehicle knock down my baby father and this is what I'm going through, begging to feed my 4 sons."

If you would like to help Adolphus and her 4 kids you can call 628 3009. She lives in Crooked Tree with her 4 boys ages 1, 5,6 and 7. Adolphus says Pakeman has given her some money in the past, but nothing recently.
